This music industry couple wanted a baby shower that evoked Hollywood glamour. Adopting the theme “A Star is Born,” Avant designed a red carpet entrance into a swanky hotel ballroom, complete with paparazzi shooting photos of guests as they arrived, which were later compiled into a guestbook as a gift for the couple. A sexy lounge environment twinkled with hundreds of gold stars, and while guests indulged in such martinis as the Halle “Berry”, the mommy-to-be and children in attendance sipped on beverages of the non-alcoholic kind. Rich colors of gold and bronze enhanced everything from the stars on the cake, to gold-plated baby shoe centerpieces, to the gold pacifier napkin rings. While an audience of stuffed animals dressed “to the nines” in feather boas, pearls, and top hats looked on, party goers engaged in a variety of games including one that challenged guests to match the unusual baby name to his/her celebrity parents.
